Brightening Gloomy Days
This mature White Pine had failed once already at a poorly attached co-dominant union and unfortunately failed again during a windstorm. Hillcrest was called in after the second failure to help remove a large portion from our client’s beautiful shop. It was then determined that the rest of the tree needed to be removed.
Proper structural pruning at a younger age would have eliminated the problem branches when they were still small. As a mature tree, reduction pruning could have been done to reduce the sail effect and leverage on poorly attached branches.
